I’ve had the last chapter of my Able series done for a while now but like...idk I don’t want it to end - and it’s not The End™ the end it’s just the end of Able’s story specifically but...it’s hard to say goodbye or some poetic bullshit idk I’ve never really finished a project of this scope before and it’s over! It’s come to its natural conclusion! The plans for it are done! They’ve been executed! And I don’t want to put that final nail in the coffin.

Okay, long post for art references concerning these whumpable dorks - I forgot my stylus and art files when I left for vacation so take my hasty smencil drawn figures for what you will. 

Able - star of the show. No his name is not misspelled. Was definitely influenced by Tron to even start a robowhump series, so credit where credit is due, Able’s design was largely influenced by good ole Rinzler and the other repurposed programs. Definitely reccomend Tron Uprising for any program related whumpy goodness.

Cain is our reliable, somewhat reluctant caretaker. He looks like a Hank to me. Idk why I didn’t name him Hank. I’m bad at naming characters and three prompts in I realized the main characters were named Cain and Able. I swear there’s no foreshadowing or deeper plot meaning beyond “Blue doesn’t know how to name characters until she’s written a lot about them”

Echo! My darling. My kickass child. The only fully competent badass on the Reserve. They’re always down to fight and trying to make their papa proud.

Oz - father, nerd, the kind of guy I could beat up for lunch money. An approachable twink in need of a bath and a home cooked meal.

Dolls look human and are as variable, save for the barcodes on their necks. Jesse’s a down to earth kind of droid who would wear a cowboy hat if I could draw one. Jenny’s have a base model but colors, sizes, and voice are fully customizable.

Rex. Bastard king of bullying poor Able. Old school tech vet who’s short and buff as hell. Tbh idrc if he’s just terrified of the Reserve being endangered, dude is an ass and needs a good ass kicking before I’ll let him be even slightly sympathetic.

Zee and Elthree! The lovely medic/mechanic couple of the Reserve. El’s design was really influenced by the sci-fi short film “Dr. Easy” which I strongly reccomend (tw for blood, moderate mouth gore, and emergency circumstances).

And here’s a miscellaneous collection of other faces from the series so far! Asymmetry of tattoos/hairstyles is standard to keep facial recognition tech from pickin up on gangs and rebels.
