day 3 of @oc-tober2023's prompts is daily rituals, or something the oc does on a daily basis. and since the kitchen becomes a huge mess once everyone's awake, maurice always gets up extra early and enjoys his 30 minutes of peace and quiet where its just him and the dogs
the first drawing was supposed to be part of the relationships prompt from day 5, but i decided to re-frame it and i drew the second one to accompany it.
aka, the boys being similar but also very different!

beware a Seph and David tangent below
with the first one i kinda wanted to illustrate the difference in how they approach an accusation xd? so David defaults into being like "dw, im all good, the blood isnt mine, im not hurt" completely ignoring what he was ACTUALLY accused of, while Seph immediately jumps to "dw, yea i did some fucked up shit, but some of that blood is mine so i couldn't have been THAT violent", kind of already "punishing" himself in a way?
the other one is just a difference of how they express their anger/murderous intent. i imagine Seph was probably very explosive with his anger for a while (definitely not as much as David tho, no one can match that man's level of pure unbridled rage), but by the end of the story he becomes much more... calculated in it? like he's less likely to snap and more likely to start threatening someone in a low voice, looking at them menacingly, while David just goes off xd

Clarity and her wolfdog familiar Mercy. Wild mages like Clarity share their minds with the animals they take as familiars, meaning that if you make the large predator feel very unsafe, you might not get any mercy from either of them.
