dehumanized characters who reject their dehumanization, who scream that they're a person, they're human, they're just like you!! vs dehumanized characters who embrace their inhuman status, who don't care if they're perceived as dangerous as long as they're not perceived as lesser, who say 'fuck humanity, I'm something different but I'm still worth the same as you'
Oh NOW random screenshots want to upload to the Xbox network.
That smile though. 🥹😭❤️
I wish Lore had a different expression but that’s okay. I still love them. They are also very ready for their hair to be pulled back again.
I just finished a few things in Minrathous and it rained the entire time the little team was there. I know what the rain and humidity does to my curly hair lol I like the idea that no one really knew how much hair they had until today. Which happens to me a lot when I wear my hair down or have a puffy curl day.

The BG3 break was needed because I kept hitting a wall with gameplay. The pace of Veilguard has been a relief, though I will be immensely sad when it’s over. It already feels too short of a game. But I have complicated feelings over the series ending. Like a strange form of mourning and grieving.
I know I’ll have to take a break from Veilguard before finishing it. Who knows when that’ll happen. I get so emotional, I’ll probably just keep restarting playthroughs before I allow myself to see the end game.
I’ll just keep enjoying the journey and delving into fanfic in the meantime.
You’ve met Sprig, now meet the other ARF trooper of Bloodhound squad:
💜📖 Lore 📖💜
Lore and his massif partner, Laara, have a special place in my heart
Lore loves stories, in any way, shape, or form he can consume them in
But his favorites are stories of peoples, cultures, traditions. Especially those he can learn something from
Laara even got her name from an archaic Mando’a word, werlaara, which means “myth”
This man will watch historical documentary holofilms until you pry the datapad out of his hands
Will also infodump on you about cultures on any planet he visits
Not so surprisingly, this gets him a special role on the squad outside of his usual ARF duties
If an extraction requires any of the squad to blend in, he’s the one Flux relies on
Because even if he doesn’t know anything about the planet now, give him a couple hours planetside (with or without Laara) and he’ll have all the details
He’s very good at getting people to talk to him (and if they’re less than willing, cutie patootie Laara demanding scritches usually breaks the ice)
Not in the sense that he’s a silver tongued devil, but because he actually listens and engages with people
Always asks deep and meaningful questions, aimed to genuinely understand whoever he is talking to
When Lore is talking to you, you will feel like you’re the only person in the world to him, because to some extent you are
His focus is on you, and only you
Which can be kind of intense, but not in a bad way
Poor guy has had so many people think he’s flirting with them, when he’s really just trying to give them the attention he thinks everyone deserves when they are speaking
He’s always surprised and a bit embarrassed when this happens
He’s not a prude by any means, but always feels guilty that he may have lead someone on
At the end of the day, he’d rather curl up with Laara and his latest documentary or an audiobook on his datapad and let the stories take him away
Wandering nature boy extraordinaire! Has plant based magicks (accelerate their growth, change their shape, the whole nine yards). He wears a wooden mask (because he thinks it makes him look cool and mysterious) and he uses his magic to change it's expression. Is he aware that this is a waste of magic? yes is he ever going to stop? no what do you take him for a sensible person.
oh I LOVE a character who breaks in a violent way. not like a porcelain doll, or an eggshell, but like a glass bottle or a piece of metal: more dangerous broken than whole
