you can submit tumblr posts for consideration via direct message or tagging @ocdheritageposts - although i will be less likely to see a tag. you can also submit tiktoks or images via the "submit" button. thank you to those who have shared posts.
asks are tagged with "OCD heritage ask" and meta discussions about the frogfish (the icon and character for this blog; a Chaunacops) are tagged with "OCD heritage frogfish." the only thing the OCD heritage frogfish can say is "OCD heritage post." he responds in emojis for anything else. 👋🐟
for the wellbeing of others, and for myself, i will not be responding to messages that ask for me to bestow a diagnosis or would be contributing to a compulsion/ritual/confession. this is primarily a meme blog. thank you for understanding. you can find helpful resources in the OCD Resources tag. (click on the tag on this post for easy navigation.)
this blog is welcome to self-diagnosed OCD havers and therapist-diagnosed OCD havers alike. it is also welcome to OCD allies, and people who otherwise relate.
the mod for this blog is a therapist-diagnosed OCD haver who is medicated and has been through an intensive ERP program. i'm not "cured" and still navigate the disorder on a daily basis, but I am doing better than I ever have. while OCD will likely be a lifelong struggle, it can be managed and life can be a lot more bearable. hope is not lost. i wish you all luck on your mental health journeys. ❤️
