What You’ll Need

§A cloth or something to work on (mostly to help contain the mess, I used a grey one) §A jar or container §Sand or shell fragments (I used shell fragments)-can be subbed with rock dust/fragments §Shells §Salt §Ocean water-or DIY Ocean Water §Some sort of sticker §A blue ribbon §Scissors

Optional

§A green candle (or a video/app of a lit green candle) §Mint oil

How To

∞Light your candle if using one ∞Place your cloth down on a table and lightly sprinkle with salt ∞Take your container and sprinkle salt inside it, then spoon in the sand.  ∞Take the shells and aestheticly place them however you want  ∞Sprinkle in ocean water (and oil if you’re using that) ∞Blow into the jar and then seal it with a lid ∞Take your sticker and draw a sigil on the sticky part (for my broom closet witches) and then stick it on the lid ∞Wrap blue ribbon around the jar lid and tie  ∞Booyah you’re done

Finished my ocean jar...

I ordered a beautiful 21 inch apothecary jar with really delicate engravings on it. It came today! And I filled it with sand, rocks and shells from my trip to Cape Cod last week. It's one of the most beautiful things I have ever put together. Truly. When I was looking for rocks on the beach I collected only white ones, and a few that were colored but really interesting. For shells I found a ton of very small snail shells and conch shells and a few larger more common shells as well as a few pieces of sea glass. The crowning glory, in my opinion, are the two crab claws I found. One of them is white with iridescent purple spots and the other is orange and white with iridescent pink spots. They were stinky for a while but they have since stopped reeking. I love the jar. I think I might get a length of really pretty ribbon to tie in a bow around the topper. I'll post a pic tomorrow when it's light out!
