A gorgeous Great Hammerhead from Tiger Beach last week swims amongst the vibrantly colored Tiger Beach reefs! Great Hammerheads arrived early this year and we expect to have them through May like the last few years! Late fall through early spring Great Hammerheads, Tigers, Bulls, Lemons, Nurse and Reef Sharks are the standard locals at Tiger Beach! When you add vibrantly colored reefs, crystal clear water and shallow water (nitrox) for extended bottom bottom times, it is a no brainer why Tiger Beach is quite simply the very best shark diving worldwide! White Shark once ruled our oceans in temperate waters maintaining the health and balance of our oceans! Today over 90% of all large sharks have been killed just for their fins...for a bowl of soup! The shark fin trade has ruthlessly slaughtered all sharks for way to long! Great White Shark! So sad how this magnificent creature is only at a fraction of the numbers we once had!
