❝ yeah, is that right? ❞ ghost chuckled as he strapped his gun holsters into place. usually a medic that told lies, or at least withheld some truths, wasn't a good sign. but he had been acquainted moira long enough to get the sense that she wouldn't lie without GOOD REASON. he was usually a good judge of character, and she seemed to get along with the others just fine.
❝ hopin' that's not a common practice of yours, or else price is gonna have to take another look at your crystal clean resume, ❞ he teases.

steven had been waiting impatiently for his friends to reform, anxiety and concern twisting in his insides, and he found himself nervously chewing on his nail as he waited. he knew it could take some times for gems to reform, but that didn’t quell his anxiety at all -- so, when he noticed that lapis’ gem began to glow, he stood up immediately, his eyes wide.
once she took form, steven didn’t hesitate, rushing forward to her and throwing his arms around her waist tightly. “ LAPIS! you’re okay! ”
“ LET’S SEE, SO we have the ‘ wow, thanks, ’ your baseball, leaf and camp pining hearts morps, and ‘ occupied ’ completed. were there any more meep morps you wanted to make, lapis ? ”

"You smell like the ocean..." and also vanilla and cocoa butter, but that was beside the point. Maybe don't open with pointing out someone's scent. "I don't think I've ever run into your kind before. You're not human, are you?"
𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓. 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇. it felt like most of her life she had been suffering in one way or another ... either by her own choices or by the hands of those around her. if she lingered on the idea for too long it might bring a sense of despair into her chest to which is also not uncommon--a feeling of deep regret, yearning, sadness that comes to her in waves & when she finds herself exceedingly alone. ( that happened to be more often these days despite the amount of people she is surrounded by. outsiders who did not know her may assume she had nothing to complain or feel sorrow for ... they would be wrong. yes, she is constantly surrounded by people yet they do not feed her soul on the inside. they smile, they interact with her but only for an agenda or because it is expected of them as a subject or servant. ) eyes cannot look toward her for the moment but they find focus elsewhere. the queen is quiet & it lingers.
@oceancaged SAID, " SURVIVAL IS NOT BEAUTIFUL. "
❛ i know what you mean. ❜ is her response as fingers begin to mess with one another subconsciously. her response did not feel good enough nor validating enough even if the truth was that she had no idea what might be the ''right'' thing to say. it takes a moment of lingering silence for alicent to even lift her head to look toward the other, ❛ some days it feels as if ... all i do is survive. others are better in the little things. ❜ a half smile but not wholly genuine. ❛ we must endure, find things to make it more bearable. more livable. ❜
“I’ve never lied to royalty before.” ⤷ said @oceancaged.
“Something very few could say honestly.” Blue eyes observes the sell sword with something of doubt, but does not air it, nor does he believe that questioning feeling inside. How often people lied about their intentions? How deeply hidden truth could be? But how the words seemed to slip easy from the woman's lips? Larys would need more time to convince himself if she was truthful or another liar.
“There are more than one way to lie to royalty,” he thinks aloud, voice dropping to a quieter volume, “some expect to know everything you know and can punish you for not being wholly honest. Is it only fair and right to let someone you are honest with to be as prepared as you?”
