MY EYES ARE MADE OF ACID, AND MY TONGUE IS SHARP WITH SPITE. #LARY5TRONG selective & independent roleplay blog for Larys Strong from George R.R. Martin's world of Westeros with influences from the books, shows, and my own headcanons. important portrayal notes found below. PLEASE BLOCK ME IF YOU DO NOT WANT ME TO INTERACT, PLEASE DO NOT SOFT BLOCK, I AM EXTREMELY SCATTERBRAINED.
PORTRAYAL NOTES, personal headcanons that are integral to my interpretation of this character:
Larys is non-binary, closeted and does not have a word for his feelings, but he does not wholly embrace the identity of man. He calls himself a man but in the way that man means human. The best label for his identity is genderfluid (man & agender with him leaning towards agender), but he is comfortable with any pronouns: he/him & they/them pronouns are the most common and expected ones to be used, so feel free to use any or he/they pronouns OOC or IC when refering to Larys.
Larys is a skinchanger & has greensight. He is capable of controlling and seeing through the eyes of rodents and insects, and has had a few green-dreams. He is nowhere near as powerful as other known greenseers or magic users but is a very talented skinchanger.
I do not consider the show's foot scene between Alicent & Larys as apart of my canon. He still has a fascination with her (not romantic or sexual), his gaze follows her everywhere, and he still has an unbalanced relationship with her, but events like that scene did not/will not happen with my version of Larys.
Larys feels bad about killing his father & brother, but would not change his actions. He is not soulless nor hated his family (only those that hated him).
Larys is genuinely loyal to Team Green (especially Alicent and Aegon), but he has his own motivations that relate to the conflict between the Old Gods and Valyrian magic.
speed running my watch throughs of mr. queen & the rush hour movies before hotd comes out. making space for larys. i had to take some time away from hotd cause i know my passion for it will hit me like a truck when S3 starts but ooohh i'm getting my larys CK3 playthru set up i am so excited
thinking about modern larys again. once great lawyer (not well known nor particularly rich & well-to-do, but well liked and trusted) that fell into crime and now is an infamous (jesse pinkman voice) criminal lawyer. i haven't even wrote in that verse yet, i need them to go crazy style.
interactions where larys grew up alongside someone / childhood friends and they're very close and comfortable with each other but also their interactions can end like this
over a year ago, i made this meme & since then, it’s blown up. so, over a year later — i thought i would make a new one. so here it is, after several requests & a pile of brains, THE PRE-ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIP MEME 0.2

lack of interaction ≠ lack of interest. sometimes, life gets in the way, or my muse doesn't cooperate with me the way i want, or i'm simply too anxious to take the first step. but just because we currently don't have any interactions going, doesn't mean that i'm not interested in writing with you and your muse(s). maybe the perfect opportunity hasn't presented itself yet, or i couldn't think of a good enough plot but that never ever has anything to do with you. after all, we're mutuals for a reason and that's usually because i enjoy seeing you on my dash and would love to write with you ― whenever that may happen.
Hamish Linklater as Father Paul / John Pruitt in MIDNIGHT MASS (2021) Episode 5: Gospel
In that final AA scene — "the meeting," as Father Paul calls it — when everything that has been brewing all season long is now out in the open, the conversation erupts. Father Paul tries to get Riley to admit his jealousy over the fact that he can take a life, drink their blood, and not feel remorse, while Riley is plagued with guilt for killing the girl in the car crash. Linklater accelerates the rhythm of this situation and shouts at his costar, a moment that made it into the final cut of the show.
Flanagan remembers it more as an explosion. "That only ever happened once that way," he says. "It knocked Zach back so much. To be sitting there with the same two actors in the same location and what is relatively the same lighting for a week, going through these long scenes, and to be able to surprise each other like that, that's really awesome to see."
