This is some of the stuff I found but it was too big to carry back with me. Top: Graphic granite (quartz and feldspar intergrowth) Bottom: Lineations on lepidolite, probably left from a large tourmaline crystal.

So, I was at the Oceanview Mine in Pala, Ca for a field trip and we got to blast. Unfortunately, my camera didn’t capture the full sound, but it was a shockwave that went through my body. I was still tingling for a few seconds after.
