Faeries are savage little things sleeping inside the poison ivy leaves that grow by the meadow. They pry open the eyes of boys and girls to show them the truth of their existence: toil, decay, disappointment; but if they are brave and good and follow the echoes into the cold pond they will find eternity unfolding.

And in eternity godeaters live, surrounded by elegant, whimsical fae with mouths that wrap ugly words in pretty paper to deliver. Boys and girls tear into the wrappings to find nothing — the disappointment and heartbreak sweet to the fae’s palate.

God, she was a mess. Give a girl anything, everything - then take her soul away. All they’d left her with was spite. Horrifying, raging anger, and selfishness, and grudges. 

So the Lord had left her stranded. So her father was a monster. She would take everything this world had, she would be decadent and insatiable and mean. She’d pay them back, somehow.

christmas is literally my favorite time of the year so i wanted to have something special to celebrate it with you guys?? i also know i’ve been mia for the past few months so i’m slowly getting back into the swing of things and i miss you guys a lot so i wanted to give something back to all you lovely people who follow me! ♥
