Name: Ocyone

Age: 20

Appearance: Very gangly and tall build, with long arms and legs, narrow hips and flat chest. Less than average strength and not heavily muscled. Built for speed more than brawn; as such, she embodies a lankier and awkward appearance. Soft, rounded facial features. Aquiline nose and thin eyebrows.

Ocyone has shoulder-long, straight, auburn hair with lighter streaks that resemble those of a nautilus shell. [Pre-desertion her hair is woven in a fishtail braid covered underneath a white fishnet coif cap, the middle of the headband bears the eye emblem. Post-desertion her hair is loose and worn in a sidecut.]

Her skin is tawny with piebaldism and her round deep set eyes are tyrian purple. Her body posture and her default facial expression are withdrawn, humble. and melancholic.

Pre-desertion she dons the standard missionary garments including a white surcoat with long bell sleeves with golden trims over an off-yellow under tunic that has a high neck collar. Both her puff shoulders and the the skirt of the surcoat bear the eye emblem of the Stronghold.

Personality: Ocyone is a soft-spoken and kindhearted individual who ultimately wishes to spread goodness and for the worlds to be in harmony; her fully believing in the power of the light is the driving force behind most everything she does. Inspired by the stories of old of when the hearts of the worlds were one and lived in the pureness of light, Ocyone devotes herself to restore the ultimate order of the universe. In spite of her good intentions Ocyone has a bad self-image thanks to her master's vigorous training, as his brutal mentoring caused Ocyone's more anxious and self-conscious traits. Ocyone never told anyone about the abuse as she believed that all the abuse she received was a necesary part of the training to make her stronger both in body and heart. Nonetheless she became unassertive, prudent, and squeamish under Cyro's pressuring mentorship and influence. Ocyone is also a passive person partially due to her strong confidence in the all-prevailing strength of light.

What once was meant to be a haven and a brotherhood, where family and truth are one and the same, as of late the Stronghold has been plagued by paranoia, and these values they strongly held on to have over time been twisted into something zealous and dangerous. Dissatisfied by the lack of actions taken to combat the darkness, the superiors, through subtle manipulation, have placed upon the latest generation the instilment of belief that each and every world with its people have to be saved from the darkness, and the only way it can be done is through conversion. As such, Ocyone, like many of her peers, understands the world through black and white. To contribute to their cause, Ocyone has chosen to become a missionary to save as many as she can. However, fate is a cruel mistress, and Ocyone will come to face with what will shake her to the core.

📁 Ocyone

Since she was a child, Ocyone had vivid dreams of her being out on stormy seas, dark water churning with broken ice on all sides while gelid winds are blowing. She never grasped the meaning of these dreams. When she heard the passing comment water stands for the state of the subconscious mind, Ocyone became terrified she was falling into darkness. Due to her often plunging in these waters she developed slight thalassophobia. Only later in life she'd find out what they really meant.

Ocyone loves sculpting crystal miniature figurines/sculptures, be they either out of ice crystals or regular quartz crystals.

However, the Stronghold, forbade hobbies they deemed as "frivolous" meaning Ocyone was only able to pick it up again once she settled into the Sanctuary.
