Syd and Elena gave us everything we wanted for Klaine.

Being dorks, actual good reservations around sex for the first time, good communication, realistic fights.

But Glee and Klaine (and I guess Brittana) paved the way for being able to have relationships like Syd and Elena be written and then happen without a lot of backlash.

Klaine obviously wasn’t the first teenage gay couple on TV but it was the biggest and most popular and that was what was amazing about it. Millions of people watched the show and many of those millions watched for this young gay couple (that the writers really messed up).

Be thankful for Glee, be thankful for Ellen, be thankful for Will and Grace who paved the way for gay storyline’s on TV and to be popular.

What this blog means to me.

So I'm a small Tumblr blog. I'm not as big as @pukicho or @staff. Or even in this small Andi Mack community, @disneymack (fun fact: Ive been hear longer than them) But I'm still fairly sizeable. I barely post on the weeks and I am barely even an Andi Mack Tumblr user, especially as they show is ending. But I would like you all to know how much you mean to me. 

There I told you what you mean to me. 

JK. (wow. Am I a fucking 40 year old women on Facebook? I think the fuck not) But even though my older posts we're more popular, and nobody ever tells me what they want from me, I do this for you guys. 

Like,  The Jyrus Shipper that wants a blog that is not about Tyrus and cares about meditating the ship wars rather than adding fuel to the fire.

Or, The Older Teen Viewers that are made fun of, for being Teens (like 14-17) and watch this show.

Or, the LGBTQ+ veiwers, that know that they're no different just like Cyrus.

Or just anyone that watches Andi Mack, because we're all special, and even if we disagree or enjoy different things we are still United by this one thing that feels like we've been family forever, but in reality for only 2 years (and I've only been here since last February) And we're breaking up soon. But we'll always have our reunions, and it'll feel like old times again, but I ain't no motherfuckin sentimental person, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Or if you do something else I enjoy like The Sims or Just Dance or One Day At A Time or The Good Place or Superstore, and anything else I might've talked about.

And while this sounds like a good bye it is actually a hello. Hello, to all my old friends and hello to all my new ones and the friends I haven't met yet. Hello to the people that liked my shitpost. Hello to the people that used art I created a long time ago. Hello to you. You are the ones that got me to 250 followers (boy what's gonna happen when I hit 500 or even 1000?) And I'd like to say thank you. But I'll also say your welcome.

I'm sorry but I have a problem with Elena being gay. It goes against God! Although God did make us in His image and God doesn't make mistakes. [Points at herself] Clearly. And when it comes to the gays the Pope did say “Who am I to judge” and the Pope represents God so what… am I going to go against the Pope and God? Who the hell do I think I am? Okay. Okay. I'm good.

Hello tumblr and LGBT+ friends, I might need your help

So I’m working on a big project ( something between a huge essay and a small thesis ) about the impact of LGBT+ representation in series and I was wondering what it meant to you?

By that I mean:

Why does this character means so much to you?

How did he/she/they helped you?

Why do you like/need or seek LGBT+ representation?

How does certains tropes or caricature (bury your gays, the “gay best friend” or the queer coding) make you feel?

Have you ever been hurt by a show? A character? A death? A couple on TV? A bad representation? And why?

Do you think the actual LGBT+ representation on TV is good? Bad? Enough?

If you want to share your experience with me I’ll be very thankful, even if it’s just a few words or just the name of your favourite show or character.
