I think something that quite a few people need to learn is that while recovering is usually strived for, not everyone is going to get better. With all mental health issues, some people aren't going to be functional ever. Some people will need help or medication and therapy for the rest of their life and that's ok. Some people aren't going to quit self harming, or having suicidal ideation, some autistic people will need help with IADL's and ADL's for their entire lives. Some people with ADHD won't be able to hold down a corporate job. Being pessimistic isn't great most of the time but it's ok to be realistic about your goals and likelihood of recovering. I will likely need help through my issues for the rest of my life, and there is a decent chance that without that help I'll take my own life and that's ok. It's important to not set your expectations so high you can achieve them, and if you aren't going to get better it's ok to admit that.
Shout out to people with low/no empathy
Shout out to people who struggle to feel bad for other people
Shout out to people with behavioral issues
Shout out to people who've been this way since birth, and those who developed it because of trauma
Shout out to people who apologize when they aren't sorry
Shout out to people who say shitty things and have to be told to apologize
Shout out to people who get angry over minor things and have to avoid some people because of it
You are not all broken, you don't all need to be fixed. Life sucks sometimes and you aren't a monster for how you learned to cope. That also doesn't make your issues anyone else's problem, and it's your responsibility to take accountability for your actions
