Lorne Lanning in the latest DiscoddChat episode: Vykkers were descended from potato bug-like creatures who hid in trees to get away from predators, hence why modern vykkers stay in the air with their airships.
Me, coming to the realisation that at some point, there was (and possibly still is) a predatory creature out there in Oddworld that considered Vykkers their prey:
