Vykker’s Labs 16 has always been a…bloody place as Vyle likes to experiment a lot with new methods or ideas. The interns are all used to it after a few weeks of mopping up blood and guts.

⚽️ for Karen and ⚫️ for Kyle pretty please?

I'll split this answer into two parts, this one is for Karen:

who is someone your oc believes in and roots for? Are they private about their admiration or do they make it well known?

Karen roots for every intern but could care less about other species. She's bubbly and insistent on helping her peers as she desperately desires a community. Bringing other interns' safety and stability helps give her a sense of belonging in the world.

Clakkers and Grubs are food at best and nuisances at worse. She'll talk to them only if she has to. If so, she's cold and snippy, others would get more hospitality out of a rock. She wants to keep them nearby as an available food source mostly.

As for a particular person, she is the most indeering to Kyle for sure. He was a grade a jerk before meeting her and would leave his own kind to die if it got him further ahead in life. Her kindness rubbed off on him and he does, if begrudgingly, try to help others. The brunt of his work is still being a bodyguard to Karen and freeing slaves. Karen mostly helps with their recovery after they're returned to the outpost.

Out with the Odd, in with the New

Oddworld Wildlife and sentient beings in their early stages of life, still learning the cruelty of this world of odd. But regardless how sad or tough it may be, they'll surely grow up, to live till the end.

urban khanzumers are often considered iconoclasts of the culture they were born into, as industrial hypercapitalism overtakes the zeitgeist. lower level glukkons revel in consumption and decadence encouraged by the cartel, who use consumption as a means of control. the more conservative vykkers within the conglomerate worry about their more recent generations falling into the cartel trap and wasting their valuable minds, bringing shame to their geneline.

'interns', a species who have only fairly recently been uplifted for conglomerate use, hold little culture that is truly theirs. they throw themselves headlong into khanzumerism in order to cope with serving the conglomerate, which the vykkers encourage to keep them docile. this attitude differs from the glukkons forcing their scrub workers into lifelong isolated factory boxes not out of altruism, but because they consider the average intern even more expendable than a glukkon sees a mudokon. glukkon executives want a well-oiled machine without distraction. vykkers just are happy with not having to clean up their own messes.

Does Lenny only smuggle stuff for Alf or does he have other "customers"

Lenny will smuggle anything for anybody for the right trade. He's been working the rails a long ass time. Hell, he even has links at Vykkers Labs for the best Lungbusters not even sligs can get their trigger happy hands on and Lenny somehow, someway, is able to get thr lab employees just what they need in exchange.
