I just think they are super neat, definitely my favorite creature from these underrated games!

Unseen Oddworld concept art from the "Extras" menu in the PS3 digital download version of Munch's Oddysee HD. From what I can gather, these are only accessible on this specific version, hence these being taken with a camera rather than ripped from the in-game files.

Thanks again so much to Thibaltigu for finding and sharing these! Huge fan of the domesticated scrab.

Oddworld Wildlife and sentient beings in their early stages of life, still learning the cruelty of this world of odd. But regardless how sad or tough it may be, they'll surely grow up, to live till the end.

Baby Scrabs

Information: a momma scrab will usually be the soul caretaker of its babies. Laying eggs in a clutch of usually 10-20, they burry them in soft dirt to keep them warm. Scrabs will leave the nest for a short amount of time and come back just before the babies are due to hatch.

Baby scrabs will hatch with a sharp egg tooth near the end of their beak, and using their small shovel like mouths, they'll dig their way out of the ground. They start of soft, and lacking bright colors scrabs usually have.

Mother scrabs will feed her babies with a special regurgitation of food, which the babies will store in food sacks under their necks to keep themselves fed. When the mother wishes to move her babies, she will carry them in her large mouth.
