—With Odin, it's clear there won't be any grand displays of affection. Therefore, he'll most likely spend a long time interested in you, an embarrassingly long time without you even noticing.

—He'll spend a considerable amount of time observing you intently. His golden eyes follow you in silence wherever you go. So much so that, before you realize it, Huginn and Muninn may well be the reason his interest in you becomes obvious. It’s not normal to have ravens, especially those two, trailing after you through the skies.

—The moment he feels the need to confess his affection, clearly and concisely, will have to be because he has finally deigned to accept the beating of his heart as inevitable. He can neither erase nor destroy his love, whether he likes it or not.

—Odin will approach you when no one is around, preferring solitude as the sole witness to his emotional vulnerability. His presence looms before you, his features set in that unyielding seriousness. Yet once again, it's his eyes that betray him, watching you with a quiet, unmistakable longing.

—After a few moments, which could worry anyone in your situation, Odin would finally speak.

—Don't comment on the for-once silenced ravens, who watched you quietly with their heads slightly tilted, as if patiently awaiting your response.

—If you look away, feeling shy, he'll take a step forward. If you return his gaze, a small smirk will settle on his features. There's no need to answer honestly; Odin already knew your answer before you even gave it.

Odin relationship headcanons

-Like Freya and Jörð (Thor’s mother), he starts the relationship the same way: he compliments you 24/7, he gives you the most amazing gifts, super affectionate and becomes humble and self deprecating if it means entertaining you.

-This of course never lasts long, it lasts long enough to get you into his grips… he convinces you to ditch your friends and family while inviting you to live in Asgard.

-While he treats you like precious gold, the rest of Asgard treats you an outsider and a burden to all of the realms.

-This isolates you even more, it brings you even closer to him, no friends and no family outside of Odin to talk to. The only Aesirs that treat you with the littlest trust is Odin, (sober) Thor, (real) Týr, and Thrúd.

-He has a high libido especially when he was younger, he demands sex everyday, luckily with age comes less (mediocre) sex and more him studying in his stupid room.

-He leaves for periods of time to do research on the mask and usually comes back frustrated and angry so dont be bothersome by asking where he was and what he was doing. He may or may not have cheated on you during this period.

-Usually he copes with these failures by self isolating in his study. If you try to comfort him or talk to him during this, he will throw things at you, yell at you and scream at you to leave.

-If you find out about the cheating he doesn’t care, everything he does is justified to understanding the mask and what do you plan to do? Divorce him? Go back home where you haven’t spoken to your family for friends for decades or even centuries? Laughable.

-If he does something wrong, he tells you to get over it. Stop being so petty, he’s the main god of the Norse, he *has* to do hard things like leaving you and cheating on you jeez 🙄

-Usually when he “messes up” like being abusive or cheating on you, he tries to make it up with gifts and love bombing.

-That period where he left for a decade without word or telling you then eventually coming back to scream at you for asking where he was? He was actually getting you a golden girdle that makes you more beautiful or smth.

-Most of the relationship will be a rollercoaster of love bombing and abuse. Periods of happiness, peace and abuse. Every time you think this period of love and peace will last, he leaves and becomes worse than ever.

-You will cry a million times while in a relationship with him and Odin will say you have no other person to blame other than yourself for saying yes to his marriage proposal.

What is Hercules, Buddha, Odin, and Hades's reaction if their s/o calls them "babygirl"?? 🤔🤔

Reaction: in private he probably doesn’t care and perhaps even in public he doesn’t care; his ravens would probably raise more hell than he does. Just don’t over do it, then it’s a problem 😅 hell he probably doesn’t even know what that means and chops it up to another nickname.

Reaction: “Baby girl?” Hades doesn’t know what that means and will ask his s/o to explain; once they do he’ll roll with it but he also gives his s/o a nickname as well. So if his s/o doesn’t mind another nickname then Hades doesn’t mind either. ❣️

Reaction: that’s his reaction ⬆️ Buddha loves it actually for multiple reasons, he’ll use it to his advantage whenever he can (“Your baby girl wants some candy babe!”) it sounds cute and he thinks he thinks he’s special. But if anyone else but! His s/o calls him this is a big no. But his s/o? Absolutely he loves it. ❣️

Frigga let Loki wear her perfume :) just came into my head and it's one of my favourite headcanons. Odin probably frowned upon it but Thor didn't care and was happy his brother was delighted for once

(idk if perfume exists in Asgard but idc, they're all gods even tho ones adopted and they can transport via a rainbow bridge, anythings possible)
