Wanted to share an image of the thick dragonfly, the broad bodied chaser

This is the female.

Love these guys, they're absolutely gorgeous.

Pretty common, as far as dragonflies go, but just because they're common doesn't mean they can't ve beautiful

Now the females have that lovely gold abdomen, while the males look like this

I don't have much else to say on them. Besides the broadness they're pretty typical dragonflies to my understanding. But typical dragonflies are awesome so who cares.
