Okay, you guys know how much George Salazar and Gerard Canonico love everyone’s enthusiasm about them and the fandom in general, but there’s always a limit to how much enthusiasm you can show. And by that, I mean regarding their relationship. 

They’re clearly joking around whenever one of them would refer to the other as his boyfriend. Don’t go around telling everyone online that they’re really dating because, while it may not be your intention, it could also make their actual partners feel like you’re invalidating their existence. You can tell the two actors that you ship Rich and Michael, but don’t go telling them that you ship the two of them as well. You never know whether they’re uncomfortable with that or not and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

And if you do continue making them uncomfortable, then they might eventually end up feeling uncomfortable with each other (though I think that’s unlikely because they’re really close but who knows. It happened to a lot of stars). And if they’re uncomfortable with each other, then they won’t give us any of those hilarious content they’ve been giving us anymore!

So guys, keep it to a minimum! Tell them you love Rich & Michael as a couple if you want. Tell them you enjoy those hilarious clips they make together. But don’t force them to see each other in a different light. Remember that you’re representing an entire fandom and a specific ship. Try not to make us look bad.

What happened with ao3

Some Jonerii took issue with a multishipper daring to tag an angsty jonerys/jonsa infidelity fic with “Jon Snow/Daenerys Targaryen” and, of course, a true wankfest in the comment section followed, because of course they’re going to police content that doesn’t cater to their specific tastes, because they are completely unable of just scrolling past things they don’t like or taking responsibility for their own online experience, because they’re a bunch of babies and it’s everybody else’s job to adjust their behaviour instead even if they were following the established rules and etiquettes of the respective platform before. (Btw, yes, that was a bit of a sneaky set-up: If you see this post and want to complain about me using the words “jonerys” or “Daenerys Targaryen” or tagging this “anti-jonerys”, I suggest you learn how to use tumblr and put a little # in front of your search instead.) 

So my dearest fanfic-writers: If you want to write angsty fics without happy endings you first have to ask the Council of Acceptable Fanfic Content™ for permission to tag the pairing you are writing about! Sry, I don’t make the rules on AO3, not even AO3 itself makes the rules, apparently the jonerii do. 

p.s: Since they are apparently also confused about Tumblr and AO3 being different platforms with different rules (wild, I know) I would give them about a week until they take the “DON’T TAG YOUR JONSA DELULU CONTENT WITH JON SNOW OR GOT/ASOIAF BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE AND ME CENTRE OF UNIVERSE” bullshit to AO3 as well. 

How dare other people live their lives in a manner that isn’t 100% convenient for them. How dare they.

Kinda mad that Lucas was mean to Eleven in season 1 and apologized and people still don’t like him but Mike and Eleven treated Max like crap in season 2 and didn’t apologize yet no ones holding it against them? Like the double standards are pretty annoying. I love all 3 of them btw.
