Anna very rarely slept, but she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a few quiet hours alone with her wife and as her whole self. She would never regret giving up part of her identity for Fantine and Cosette, but that didn’t stop it from becoming stifling at times. It wasn’t in her nature to stay in one form for long.

“Given the circumstances, I can’t say I blame you.” She placed a gentle kiss on her cheek before resting her head on her shoulder to look out the window with her. “I’d suggest enjoying every moment of it, so you have no regrets if it does disappear.”
