Standing before the other, amethyst hues watched as he assumed they were about to go into battle once more. Her outburst was questionable however, an eyebrow rising and lips parting as if he were about to speak before she grabbed at him and slammed him against the wall. Surprise was apparent on his expression, and that only amplified as her lips crashed upon his own. Her grip tightened upon him, but more just to cling than to move. She was right about him being surprised, this wasn’t an action he was thinking she was going to make. How it got to this point, he wasn’t quite sure he could tell, but he wasn’t honestly going to complain. Once the shock wore off (a moment or two after the fact), his lips pressed back against her own in response.

Maybe that was why they got along this much; they just UNDERSTOOD how the other could feel.

But he also understood that maybe he was trying too much. He wished he would progress in his training more quickly, but he also knew he was pressuring himself too much for this. His entire situation just annoyed him so much.

He still ended up smirking in Lightning’s direction though. “I know. But I can not do nothing for the people of Lucis.” He explained, crossing his arms over his chest.
