“hey,” charlie has to to a DOUBLE TAKE - it is that odd moment of seeing someone wholly removed from the context you know them in ; seeing a professor out of school or, in this case, something of a coworker MILES & MILES away from work. well, close enough, charlie figures - he isn’t sure maisie is a coworker. perhaps more of a collaborator? “didn’t think i’d see you ‘round here. not many things t’find here, huh?” they chuckle a bit, head tipping. it’s odd to see maisie NOT delivering a dragon found in some remote reach of the world to the sanctuary, but he supposes it might be odd to find him here rather than romania. @ofenchantment​

Alena quickly downed the drink, wincing slightly at the taste before pushing the glass away from her. “To... Pretending! And being old enough to drink... And being old enough to do whatever, whenever!” Alena cheered, as she may or may not have pre-gamed for her night out. Of course, she had also been old enough to drink for several years, but it was always a plus.

   The truth is that the alcohol still has the same effect. It brings back the old Angelina who was all smiles and witty remarks. She feels giddy although still completely unaware of what she drank. Angelina always had this way of noticing people. Fred used to say it was a gift and a curse at the same time. Maybe that was why becoming a lawyer made sense. She saw the little details in people and although they weren’t always obvious.    She could tell there was something on the woman’s shoulders next to her. Although she knew it was not her place to pry but maybe-- maybe she could help ease it. Angie leaned forward by the bar and so she could get the other’s attention, “You pulled off your costume really well! I especially love the way your hair turned out. I loved you so, so much and you just ripped my heart out and crushed it like it was nothing.. nothing more but sand. I don't care we were 'only teens' and that it 'couldn't have been love', because I knów it was real, and i loved you.
