Thinking about my headcanons for the OFF Guardians as lovers because my mental health is hanging by a fucking thread and I need to distract myself.

Dedan

Is super awkward about showing public displays of affections, mostly because he's so tall; he's scared he'll accidentally step on his partner. This creates a constant tension where he want to be affectionate but is scared of hurting them.

Is extremely touch starved. In private, he's always showering them with hugs and nuzzles. Wishes he had lips only so he could kiss them instead of just nuzzling his face against them.

Once he realizes he loves his partner, he is forever and wholly committed to them. If they ever break his heart, it will utterly destroy him.

Extremely protective. If his partner is hurt, he will panic and try everything to make it better.

Can be a bit jealous though, and will glare at anyone he thinks is flirting with them.

Not great with communication. Can be a bit aggressive and quick to judge without meaning to. He's working on it, though.

Japhet

He's all about curling around his partner like a meat shield. He just enjoys feeling their warmth against his body. Even while just sitting and reading, he loves to curl his tail around them.

Showers his partners with gifts. Mostly little knickknacks. Anything where he can say "I saw this and thought of you."

Can be extremely neurotic. He'll go over everything you said and fret he did or said something wrong.

Very good with communication. Tries his best to be gentle when bringing up concerns.

Feels rejected easily. Spends a lot of time worrying his partner will find someone "better" and leave him alone. Can be detrimental to the relationship if not kept in check.

Maybe aroace? He just enjoys having what is essentially a really good roommate.

Enoch

The way he shows affection can be a bit immature. He loves to tease them like a kid, but is very liberal with the "I love yous." He'll do something cheeky then run away calling out "I love you!"

Can be a bit clueless. Doesn't always pick up what his partner is putting down.

Loves to tell dirty jokes to make his partner blush. Especially in public. The more red they get, the better.

He's a notorious flirt. Will flirt with just about anyone to get a rise out of them. Even if they're with their partners. He hopes his partner understands he's just joking. And he is. But he's stubborn in his ways and is here to have a good time.

Can be a bit petty and jealous though. Struggles with communication and can be passive aggressive instead of talking it out like an adult.

Loves to have his partner(s) sleep on his tummy, though he's not as touchy-feely as the other Guardians. He likes physical affection, he just values his own space.

Dedan relationship headcanons

Beep bop my first headcanons and it is safe to say by this blog's title that I simp for Dedan since 2014 lmao

No matter how tall his S/O is, there will always be a size difference since Dedan is taller.

Which gives him the advantage to carry them on his shoulder; and that is something Dedan is incredibly proud of.

Dedan might be generally grouchy and foul mouthed in presence of elsens and generally in public, but when he's all alone with his S/O he turns into a big softie. Also becomes quite clingy, refusing his S/O to leave with the excuse that if they go he won't be able to protect them.

Dedan wont admit it, but he adores it when his S/O kisses his hands and cheeks.

If they happen to kiss him in public, he will grumble a bit but will be okay with it.

Despite his explosive personality, he wouldn't dare to insult his beloved S/O, instead he'll redirect his rage towards the poor elsens.

Generally he is bad at expressing his feeling towards his S/O, so for Dedan his love language is acts of service. If something of theirs breaks or gets lost, he'll fix it/ replace it before they even realize. Or if Dedan notices that they haven't eaten he will get find them some food and afterwards ramble about how they can't be going on an empty stomach.

Circling back to how Dedan has a hard time expressing his feelings, whenever his S/O tells them he loves them he replies with a "Me too", or a "Yeah, I know". Other might think its cold of him to say it like that, but only his S/O knows that he is trying his best to not lose his cool and become a blushing mess.

So these are your typical builds for each zone.

Elsens are stockier and have more muscle mass thanks to swinging around pickaxes and carrying lumps of metal all day (Not to mention they mostly eat meat. Protein bro). The ones in the post office are a little bit weaker and softer, but not by much since they still carry packages around n what not. Since most of them are so active and have some dangerous work, their clothes end up more tattered and wrinkled though they do try to keep their appearances somewhat nice but it ain't a priority. Also it's pretty noticeable when one is close to burning, they start puffing out clouds of thin smoke and generally start to sweat more.

Bismarkians are thinner and lankier since they have a somewhat level diet and don't exactly do work. However, they're very cautious about what they eat. A lot of them are underweight since they obsessively check their meals for anything dangerous and often stop eating partway because "Oh whatthe fuck is that hHhh nope". They try their best to keep their clothes nice and neat and each of them usually take quite a few minutes to ensure they're all nice and neat before leaving the house. VERY noticeable when they burn up, big ol dark globs of smoke start coming out of their mouths and their teeth are just a little stained because how often smoke comes out.

Vesparians are a bit wider and softer due to eating mostly cakes and generally sugary things. They don't care much for their appearance as they're entirely focused on their work. Ties are loose, shirts are only a little buttoned up, pants are just barely held up by partially buckled belts because they Do Not Care. Their teeth are gray from all the sugar and they definitely have wrinkles from smiling so much. It is not easy to tell when one is about to burn out in the slightest since a very thin smoke seems to seep from their skin. All you get as a warning is the faint smell of smoke and caramel then boom there goes your co-workers head.
