The Port of Los Angeles, California, United States--The Port of Los Angeles, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, APM Terminals Los Angeles and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Locals 13, 63 and 94 successfully moved 18,465 containers from the MSC Isabella during a single ship call at APM Terminals’ Pier 400, setting the new world record for Most cargo moves in a single ship call, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

Longest continuous operation among diesel submarines: world record set by the Dosan Ahn Changho (SS-083)

SEOUL, Korea--Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) announced that an ROK Navy diesel submarine built by DSME has carried out an operational evaluation of the Dosan Ahn Changho (SS-083), Korea's first 3,000-ton submarine featuring an air-independent propulsion (AIP) system; the submarine showed a 30 percent increase in continuous operation time compared to other diesel submarines, thus setting the new world record for the Longest continuous operation among diesel submarines, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
