A comic I sunk some time into based on part of David Jenkins’s Bluesky thread in which he wrote us a Christmas/Valentine’s day special. This comic was inspired from about here. Enjoy! 💖
#my art#ofmd#ofmd fanart#ofmd comic#our flag means death#gentlebeard#comic#ofmd 2.5#the revenge crew#I had lost the brainworms for Ofmd nearly completely#but then this part of the thread in particular hit me with a steel chair#edstede#described#description in alt text#this took me a full work week to make (about 40 hours)#it's a good thing I'm unemployed and hyperfocused lmao#the chauncey and nigel portraits were done in a separate file as full colour pieces with the frame so that took about 2 hrs 40 mins#the 1st 2nd and 3rd pages got swapped up a bit from my initial chicken scratch thumbnails so they flowed better#the fourth page with the crew hiding gave me the most grief and I did it last after thinking about it whilst doing the other pages#i changed what i wanted to happen on it as a full page to trying different angles and eventually settling on the 4 panel split#it still meant a lot of drawing but it was less complicated to figure out than what i initially wanted to do#plus it gave a better sense of them being spread out and slinking around new york trying to hide. Turned into my favourite page!#and that's all my dvd commentary for now
