Unexpected Resurrection

This took me an ungodly amount of time to complete, but here it is at last! There will be no explanation of Izzy’s resurrection — neither from the man himself, nor me. :3

A little appreciation post for Fang. I mean Kevin.

He is a bad ass pirate, who helps with the raid of ships, holding his own.

But then he completely subverts that and is the biggest softie.

When given the chance to get back for having his beard pulled for years, he will make a joke.

His smile is wide and open, making one smile along with him. Golden sunshine.

Fang looks out for the crew.

He even has spa days with the crew. Pirates need to relax and self care too.

He cries openly multiple times. No toxic masculinity for him!

He also is the first one to truly talk to Ed. To tell him what was going on, making him see his side of the story, not just lecturing but helping Ed. Forgiving him. They are sweet.

He is also the main one asking after Ed during the Kraken era, concerned about Ed's behavior and asking if anyone thinks he's better.

And he loves animals. Completely protecting a goat from the invading pirate crew who might steal it. Even at his own expense —clinging onto the rings on the side of the ship for who knows how long!

I love Fang and he deserves all the love!

This might sound weird, but. One thing I really, really love about Our Flag Means Death is that it shows men crying. And not a few manly tears either, but full on ugly sobbing

Ed's PTSD breakdown in the tub, Izzy's mental break under the Kraken's pressure, Ed crying over the breakup, Izzy crying over the unicorn note, Fang crying over his dog and over Izzy

It's just really meaningful that we see grown men cry! And cry realistically. It's still not something we see a lot of in media and I just. Really like it
