it’s packed tonight.     how many more people could possibly fit in this place?     it was a question that occupied her mind frenquently,   but it always seems to fill up even more than the previous night.     reasonably so;   it was an escape for the supernatural in town.     they could be themselves.     so one might think,   why is clarke,   and HUMAN,   working in such a dangerous place?     one simple answer;   clarke knows how to defeat every type of supernatural arkadia holds.   (  at least,   to the best of her knowledge of supernatural.  )   little did she know,   there's one lurking around she has yet to come in contact with. 

shoulder length, wavy locks from against her neck.     her voice is calm,   however loud enough for the man in front of her to hear,    a sweet smile slipping across her lips.    “ tips are very much appreciated,   but so are shots. “     and after letting the warm,   bitter liquid requested of the man slide down her throat,   she taps a nimble finger over top of the hard wooded bar.     and by doing this,   it seems the man thinks clarke was letting a different idea,   other than a generous tip,   play around her mind because before she can pull away,   there’s a tight grip around her wrist. 

why not clock out early and come home with me.   she knew this man;   WARLOCK.   “ i’d rather not.   there’s a lot of money out there with my name on it. “     she speaks with a laugh,   but her amusement fades when she can feel her wrist tightening under the pressure.     why you gotta be like that, baby?     and now fifteen,   plus,   minutes of trying to get clarke to leave with him ensues.

this is literally because of the refugee crisis and people being scared. it has literally all come back to fear
