Well that had been a bad idea. Seth had gotten fed up with all the fucking witches lurking around every corner, but he hadn’t chosen his moment very well. Too many had seen him, and now they’re all pissed. But they don’t understand. He’s a danger to everyone but Ailen. He’s a threat, a killer, a menace to society to everyone but Ailen. He’d never hurt her. Could never. They don’t understand.

They’re hidden for now. Practically waiting for when Seth has to go up against about fifty thousand fucking witches. He isn’t afraid, but Ailen is definitely not happy.

“It’s going to be okay.” he touches her jaw and slowly guides her to look at him, “I’ll be fine, Ailen, and so will you. We’re going to be fine.” moving in he kisses her forehead, and then her lips in what he hopes is a soothing manner.

Hands move over her, tug at clothes, feel her body, her skin. He can hear her heartbeat and every breath, every little noise. His lips leave Ailen’s neck and he takes a moment to just look at her before leaning in. Passion and lust rolls from his tongue. He knows he’s her first, he knows how much of a big step it is for her, he knows, he knows. He’s so careful with it most of the time but, fuck. It’s so difficult to contain himself when she tastes like this and looks like that.

Seth had spend the day hanging them up everywhere. In the kitchen. The front door. Over the sofa. Over the bed. Over the bathtub. Everywhere. Excuse after excuse just to kiss her. He’d do it anyway, but at least with mistletoe he can pretend he’s trying to be festive. He hates Christmas, he had died in snow. But he’s trying. For her.

Opening the door to greet her eyes flicker cheekily up at the mistletoe and he laughs, leaning against the frame. “Guess what I bought?” she’s given no time to respond before he’s picking her up and kissing her, bringing her inside the house and kicking the door shut behind them.

Fuck. Seth feels rain drip on his face and his instinct is to put an arm around Ailen in draw her closer. It’s very important that he protects her from the rain, she must never feel anything unpleasant, ever! She attempts to say something but Seth has her pressed so tightly to himself that he can’t make it out. Releasing her and looking down he tilts his head. Her hair is getting damp and sticking to her face, but God does she look so beautiful. Yet here she is, with Seth of all people. Ugly Seth, too skinny Seth, dumb Seth, weak Seth.

Her hair is tucked behind her ears, ensuring it doesn’t get into her eyes. He finds himself smiling in disbelief of how lucky he is. The reaper lowers and kisses her forehead, then he dips, having to bend quite a bit, to capture her lips in a kiss. Hands at her waist he brings her in closer. Compliments are whispered between kisses - you’re so beautiful. you’re so smart. i’m so lucky to have you. i love you. i love you.

In the middle of the night someone had died so Seth had slipped away. He was thankful to return and find Ailen still asleep. Kicking off his shoes quietly he climbs onto the bed, kissing her baby bump before continuing upwards. Lips touch her cheek and he moves in close, brushing fingers slowly over the raise in her stomach.
