In the distance you can see the bridge to South Carolina, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the City Hall and Factors Walk. Just in front of the Hyatt Regency in the small clump of trees is a stone bench that marks the spot where Oglethorpe and the colonists first landed in Georgia. The park along Bay street also holds the "Wahington Cannons" that were given to the city for it's defense by General George Wahington. Many historic sites are within easy walking distance.
