unpopular opinion but i just.. really gotta get it out there and see if others agree but. ace/aro isn't a sexuality its def rooted in trauma or there is something wrong with you, something you DO need therapy for.. ace/aro isn't a sexuality bcs sexuality is literally who you love.. if ur aro you don't romantically love anyone. idk does this sound like crackheadery and am i being rude? i need to know

i know what you mean, i agree with some of this....

i dont think theres necessarily anything wrong with you if you’re ace/aro (but i really have to be concerned about the nihilism of some “aro” people who use that as an excuse to only talk about how futile relationships are or how much they hate their friends for being in love)

its fine to id as ace or aro (as long as you arent a homophobe lol) i do agree that some of these people definitely have trauma they need to work through. Asexual and aro as a coherent identity doesnt really make sense as everyone experiences sexuality and romance in different ways, however i dont think its like. Top priority to try to dismantle that.

Ultimately 99% of the discourse has no bearing on the real world and like while people are unlikely to be hatecrimed for being asexual, I’d still respect their identity.
