Buzz Aldrin came to campus today. The poor girl asking him questions made it through about 4 of them and he didn't take a single one seriously.

Didn't get it on video but he talked about his socks and the importance of having constrasting tones in your socks. Apparently they had the Purdue "P" on the inside of the ankle, and the interviewer asked him to show us and he pulled his leg up at an angle that no 88 year old man should be able to and showed us his socks.

Then he steered the conversation toward orbital rendezvous because OF COURSE HE DID.

He said Elon Musk doesn't know how to get to Mars and made a joke about how the Tesla should have been yellow?

At the end he stood up and said, "And remember this: someday you might be first on the runway." And saluted the audience and walked off stage.

It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

I expected absolutely nothing less.
