Can we please all take a damn moment to appreciate sulky, salty, pouty Daisuke who disappeared for over 24 hours because he had a squabble with Suzue, return home, asked if she was hungry, and then proceeded to make her food he learnt (and loved) overnight, then served it to her like a queen whilst grandma and butler were standing on either side of her as if they were not as important? 😍😍💞

And they are sitting together just the two of them eating and Suzue is absolutely in love with Daisuke’s cooking, and Daisuke be looking so smug and proud of himself that he made Suzue something so nice and I can’t, I just can’t- 💞💞💖

I really can't recommend black sails enough. The writers were trying to find their groove during season 1 so there are some missteps but seasons 2-4 are some of the best television i've ever witnessed. Everyone is so well developed, it's got interesting things to say (re: imperialism, feminism, etc.) and it has perhaps the best series finale ever.

HMMMMMM.
