what was the possibility that Viltrumite Robin grow more fond of Conquest and Kregg to the point that she is like 'screw cannon' or something like that

how would that work? Conquest x Robin? kidnapp Oliver to indoctrinate what a true Viltrumite is? beat Mark? destroy the viltrumite ear piercer and or virus doppelganger? enemies to lovers to enemies? Kill Nolan? Kill Cecil? idk how... a villian? bad guy? Robin would work

...Okay I've now started writing a very drabble-y quickfire scenes of a 'what if Viltrumite Robin went full bad guy?' tho her motives leaned into her 'im in the wrong place/body/time' insanity-inducement with an extra hit of vague consciousness of what should've been if she was 'placed' in EP like she was meant to be. Because she needed more reasons for instability.

It still ended up RobMark, because Mark is impulsive and forms crushes easily in the right circumstances. This backfires, and it makes CO look like a healthy relationship.

A snippet-

Mark wakes up. He leans into your hand on his cheek, before he wakes up the rest of the way. Even then, his flinch back is too slow. Too forced, and his glare is all despairing hurt. Extra pretty when bruises are blooming on his skin.

When Kregg is done with his pitch, you linger a moment as he returns to the ship. Look down at Mark, and wonder.

“Your little brother is cute,” you say, despite never laying your eyes on the kid. You’re just after the panicked widening of Mark’s, as much as the swollen one can manage.

You smile, and hold a finger to your lips. “I won’t tell.”

“Why?” It’s a rough croak, not helped by Kregg’s punch shaking him up. You already did a lot more damage than you’ve ever given out back when you were playing nice. Breaking him felt…

Right. Wrong. Everything in between. It felt, which is what really matters.

You crouch down again, and avoid a cut on his forehead as you stroke some hair back from his face. Right, wrong. Flip the coin and see which way it lands - if you catch it fast enough.

You did, once.

You don’t know if you can again.

“Because of me, you’re not going to win this,” you tell him, because you think he deserves to know. You want him to. “But…I’d like to see you try. Really.”

You lean in, to keep your words carefully held between the two of you. You watch his eyelids flutter shut, hear his shaky exhale. Huh. Guess you left an impression. Why not deepen it?

“We won’t see each other for a while, so you should know…I’m rooting for you, Mark. You’re stronger than you think.”

And you prove exactly how he isn’t when you press your mouth to his, and his lips part at the gentlest slide of your tongue.

Loose ends is one of THE most underrated er episodes, it’s heartbreaking and I can’t watch it without crying but it’s so good😭
