Carly, pulling Spencer from the middle of a fire he caused: SPENCER, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!
Spencer: Yeah, I think so.
Carly, angry: WELL YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE!

❝ Are you sure going after these Saviors is the right call? Why not try talking to them, make a deal?? ❞
I know if I give in to that fantasy I'd be lost forever so I force myself to wake up.

Dr. Spencer Reid, Criminal Minds
“I know what’s it like to be afraid of your own mind.”
A long sigh left his parted lips, nodding in conformation. Running a hand through his auburn hair and face contorting into one of frustration. He wasn’t quite sure how they ended up talking, he just wanted some flowers to give to his friend. They ( he ) went from talking about flowers to everything in between. The topic about his job came up, with slight caution, he named off superiors that were taking him for granted. More so his talents than himself.
"It is, but what can I do about," he paused and looked at the other, "Also I never introduced myself. I’m Spence…and before I forget thanks for letting bullshit with you."
it was usual soojung would go into a talk with a costume--after the person got past the cold expression and the polite smiles, she'd be the one to prolong the conversation and everything would come into topic as she rambled with the person. even yeonhee would complain sometimes as she spend more time talking about everything else than the actual job she was supposed to do, but what she could do about it? it wasn't like she could help it--
"you're kidding, right? that's bullshit."
--as she couldn't help as her opinion got out of line sometimes. soojung was one to control herself at every little moment, so she doubted a slip could be possible, but it appears she was wrong.
the blonde raises a hand to cover her mouth almost immediately as her mouth closes, and possible sentences of apologies run through her mind at once, but the male interrupts her before she could even get started, making her hand fall.
"you could...well, i don't now. what do you work with? everyone should get known--well, they know your name, don't they?" the female asks, raising a brow at the last part and her hand is lifted again, to shake in dismiss. "nothing to be thankful for. i like it. i'm soojung, by the way. isn't spence a foreign name, though?" he looked korean, at least.

"I am not wearing that.”
She should have known better than to let him tag along that day for no matter where she goes, trouble follows her like a bloodhound on a trail. Okay, so perhaps he wasn’t tagging along— putting it in his own words, he was actually "accompanying" her. She hadn’t a clue as to why he was doing so but hey, she could always need a hand or two to carry the things she was about to buy. You see, Nikita had just recently relocated to a new apartment complex due to what the fire department concluded as a ‘suspected gas leak’ which pretty much left her homeless for a few days. So when she found a cheap unit up for rent in the ads column in he local paper, she quickly jumped on it before it got snagged away. It was partially-furnished too so it was too good of an offer to let go.
And since the local enforcers hadn’t quite managed to rule out any foul play being involved in the explosion of her unit, they had assigned this detective over here to keep an eye on her (or so she was told) but boy, was he terrible in that area. She was beginning to think that he wasn’t from the police department after all because he certainly didn’t look the part. Up to this moment, she had been able to slip past right under his nose and tailed him instead as he searched for her. Perhaps the reason why he wasn’t meeting her standards of how a detective should act is because he had his head elsewhere. There was this faraway look in his eyes but she hadn’t bothered to ask because it may or may not (it was most probably the latter) concern her. So here they were, two very awkward being shuffling between the crowd of shoppers just to take a look at miscellaneous home decor items.
The advantages of being a telepath is that a) she could keep her mind susceptible to any thoughts that revolve around her and b) she could read minds, what else could there be? She was studying a particular glass vase in her hands when she picked up two minds directed to where they were standing and yes, they were heading their way. Carefully setting the vase back in place (it costs a fortune and if she broke it, then she’d go home empty-handed and with a hole in her pocket), she grabbed his hand and pushed through the sale-chasing people. She didn’t really have to tell him why she did that but he could probably tell from the distraught look in her eyes. They hadn’t gotten quite far but from her senses, the two males (their thoughts were being conveyed in rather deep and gruff voices but if they were women, then oops!) were being held back by the line in a counter.
To her left, was a hot dog restaurant and there was this ridiculous costume on the bench just beside the entrance. Nikita let out a little gasp of delight when an idea struck her. Tugging on his sleeve to get his attention, she then pointed her index finger at the hot dog costume.
”Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” she asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
”No.”
”Oh, come on!” By now she was getting a little exasperated for their stalkers were already on the move and it was only a matter of time before they get spotted.
”I am not wearing that.”
A soft growl emanated from her throat as she yanked his wrist and dragged him towards the bench. She then let him go to take the bun costume piece in her arms and shoved it into his.
”Why do I have to be the bun?” Are you fucking kidding me? Why did he have to choose this time to be childish?
”Because,” she began, gritting her teeth so as to not explode in a fit of rage. “… you would have to carry me after I put that on.” It was either the bun or the sausage and seeing that he had no other choice, he complied.
*******
”Hot dogs, hot dogs! Come get your hot dogs!” He was holding her sideways in his arms as she called out to get the attention of passersby (not the exact definition of staying on the low but who would suspect a hot dog?) From the corner of her eye, she could see the two men dressed in casual wear whose prominent thoughts she had been hearing earlier, walking past them without even giving them a single glance. It seemed that her idea had worked after all. She didn’t inform the detective that they were gone and kept on going with her charade.
”You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” Came a mumble from above her head.
A snort. “Maybe.”
