Balance. It all comes down to balance. What good does running do if you don't feel that it supports you and it feels like a chore? Or perhaps it stresses you out to get your training run in? How does that support you? The very thing that is supposed to de-stress you is causing you stress. . . Every morning I ask myself, what would be supportive in my self-care routine today? This morning it was 30 mins of reading and a 20 minute run. This doesn't mean, I can't be competitive with my running, it just means I train in a way that's intuitive to what my body's needs are, at that moment. Give it a try!
