i’m so glad there’s people like you (and many other blogs i follow) on this site who don’t like yoko ono. instagram is literally cursed with people who treat her as john’s soulmate and think everything she did for him and what she does for his legacy is a good thing, when it’s clearly not the case. they just throw the phrase “she made john happy!!! just deal with it” at everyone’s faces and expect people to worship her. that’s not it, they are just a bunch of 🤡🤡

Lmao this is a topic that makes me go off so bear with me for a while. I’ve made quite a big post with reasons I don’t like her ( with sources so I’m not pulling them out of my ass ) and I’ve had some pretty wild Yoko stans come for me but Idc. I’m so so sick of the excuse “ she made John happy ” because that’s not the case. She made John depdendent on her and showed no respect to him while he was alive ( she literally stalked and blackmailed him ) or when he died ( she sold his belongings to Julian and used his blood stained glasses for an album ). I’m also sick of the JohnandYoko myth that’s been shoved in our faces for years , as if they weren’t getting a divorce ( their marriage was over a long time ago ) at the time and as if she didn’t spend twenty years of her life with Sam Havadtoy ( the man she cheated on John with ). She’s trying to exclude people who cared about him from his legacy and acted as if she owned him since the day she met him. I don’t wanna ramble any more lol just know that I hate the bitch and that won’t be changing for a long time .

PS : the people who manage John’s Instagram don’t hesitate to block people who express their dislike for Yoko , so maybe that’s why his page is such a cursed place filled with clowns

What you said about Elton, I completely agree. I think it has to do with the fact that when he met John, he was a huge fan who admired his work, so he has this concept of John Lennon the myth, the legendary musician... On the other hand, Paul knew John way before fame, when they were both just teenagers trying to write good songs and be successful together. So he knows John more intimately, in a very personal type of way. I think that’s why their opinions about him are so different.

Yes! I totally agree, and I also think it was a nice contrast to interview both of them since they have differents perspectives of who John was. Honesty, how I’m more into John the person than John Lennon the legend, I enjoyed Paul’s interview waaaay more, but there were parts of Elton’s that i find really sweet and fun 

 I just didn’t like how they kept feding these myths that are really easy to fact check, but oh well, Sean still has to kept the Lennon State narrative going on i guess
