Gotta admit I'm weirded out by that "protect Lorna Morello" post that's going around. Aside from Vee I find her to be maybe one of the scarier characters, in the sense that her behaviour is clearly shown to have harmed Christopher terribly, in the sense that he's still frightened of her and traumatised by her and it's taken her 'til s2 to even begin to actively address that, in the sense that if Lorna were a dude we would be condemning her and condemning the woobification of her. I mean I still think she's a brilliantly written character and I adore her development throughout season 2, her movement away from her obsession with Christopher and the active steps she's taking toward dismantling the fantasy and stepping away from the toxic things going on in her head. I love that. I am into her as a character. I love the way Nicholls is with her, teaching her ways to handle rejection and romantic disappointment healthily (more healthily, not perfectly, but enough so that she can get away from the self hatred - at some point she is going to need to actively address the fact that she's been the architect of her own pain and rejection, and fuck it would be nice if there were actual therapists helping her out with that complicated balancing act of acknowledging fault but assuaging the pain of that). I love her relationship with femininity being both empowering and toxic. But she's scary, and it feels weird to me that we're so ... cute about her.
Is it weird that the two most horrible characters from last season are making me feel bad for them now?
Thoughts on Orange is the New Black S2 (Spoiler Free)
Oh my goodness it is 1AM and I have work in the morning but I just finished Orange is the New Black season 2 and let me tell you, it was amazing. That finale seriously messed me up and I just clapped so loudly for Rosa.
I didn't know how anything could be better than season 1 but season 2 was amazing, darker too, probably. I really think this season was done so well.
I just wanted to comment on the absence of Alex Vause. I know Laura Prepon was not in much of this season due to scheduling conflicts but that she is in all of season 3 or something. As a huge Alex fan I was convinced that this season just wouldn't be the same without her. However, the way the show was shot allowed for Alex to remain a part of the show without her physical presence. Even now I am still surprised at how present Alex felt throughout the season despite her absence.
Overall, I really enjoyed this season and I'm content with where almost every character is heading. (Excluding a few *cough, NICKKI) The plot was great and Vee was a terrific villain. I don't want to say anything spoiler-y so I'm going to stop here and post a full review/thoughts about the season and series as a whole later when the season has been out for a while. I'd like to avoid spoiling things for people as best I can.
Don't forget to blacklist oitnbs2 so you aren't spoiled by the occasional reblog I will likely post.
Happy Watching,

Do you think vauseman are end game?
I think it’s safe to say Alex is out of the picture. In Pipers mind she’s been fucked over one too many times by her and at this point Alex seems to be just using her and doesn’t appear to have any more romantic interest in her. At least this is what I see, there’s always a chance i could be completely wrong.edit: I wasn't really thinking and forgot to mention that i'm not done season 2 yet. I'm only on the ninth episode.
When Piper went to throw out Alex's letter
Me: NO NO NO NO NO NO
*puts in bin*
Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
