To Live and Buy in LA (apologies)

LA is one of my favorite cities to visit whenever I get the chance. I have a number of friends that have moved out there, and the food and shopping are great. Twice now, I've made the SLS in Beverly Hills my base of operations and headed out on foot for (relatively) nearby shops. Walking everywhere seemed to earn me a number of strange looks, but I enjoyed seeing more of the area as a pedestrian. That said, showing up sweaty and out of breath at my destinations probably did not do much to impress the store owners I met.

Some great places I stopped in at include: RTH, Creatures of Comfort, OK and Mister Freedom. My three favorite places were South Willard, Standard Goods and Heath Ceramics. The only place I found disappointing was Fred Segal-pretentious and overpriced.
