I could have folded laundry or cleaned up the house before I have to pick up Nico from school but I decided to bake. Because priorities, right? Damn. Weekends are for yummy stacked pancakes. I’ve been making homemade pancakes almost every weekend since Nico turned one. She always requests plain pancakes without syrup. Whereas I’m always loading up the fixings. Rob shamefully isn’t much of a breakfast person. It’s just me devouring this beautiful creation. The best part about pancakes is the syrup. No high fructose corn syrup in this house. All I wanted to do for my birthday was to make myself a traditional chocolate cake with sprinkles. And that’s exactly what I did this morning.
