Fitness Update:
So, as some may know, since I moved over here back in April, I’ve been on this sort of weight loss/ finding myself/ overall search for health journey. I started at 306.7 lbs, and I weighed in yesterday and I was down to 286.2, which I think is great in three and a half months.
What I found really awesome about this, is that in the past week I lost three of those pounds by going primarily vegan (I say primarily because there were two days I had cheese, but I’ve been on the search for a place near me that sells vegan cheese!). I’ve been incorporating more fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans, rice, and potatoes (GOOD LORD THE POTATOES) into my diet.
When I went into the vegan lifestyle about two weeks ago, I went into it for the moral and ethical reasons. Seeing how the animals were being treated just broke my heart, so I decided to transition. To be honest, I don’t personally believe it has been that hard! Granted, I borrowed two vegan cookbooks from our library, which has helped. I’ve learned I am not a fan of tofu, no matter how it is cooked. And thankfully, I’m lucky enough to have a husband that supports me and has decided to go vegan with me.
But with this change in diet, trying my best to drink mostly water, getting to the gym as often as I can, I’m hoping even more of this weight will come off. I still have 116 pounds to go!
