I'm no Chrisfix, but I definitely look prettier while fixing stuff!
Maybe next time I can "caulk " you 🤭🤭🤭

Why do you have spike tape on your floor? Stage rehearsals with your cats?
Ha!
Sadly, a much more boring answer -- our kitchen appears to have been a cheap add-on circa 1950/60 to the original 1940s house, and the soft pine floors are not aging well. The tape keeps everyone's toes from picking up a splinter in the worst spots.
Ever since our water heater broke(and the plumber fixed it), the water temperature in our master bath shower/ tub has been off. It randomly goes cold, doesn’t get as hot, etc. My husband and I both now shower in the spare bedroom bath now. However, the tub in our master is the only one in our house and I am a bath person. I’m taking my second bath since then and it is disappointing…. The water isn’t hot enough…
I even tried to bring a kettle of boiling water and it’s still not warm enough.
did you see any Freeport coffee ghosts today???
No!! 😤 all the baristas swear up and down it’s haunted and say “when you’re in the basement stockroom you can hear things moving around!!” And I’m like besties that’s just people walking upstairs
Oh she’d like to fuck some shit up.
Tomorrow.
So this pit of despair has to be completely emptied, dejunked, and the contents put elsewhere today. We were lucky to get the door to open this one last time.
We honestly don't know how the garage is still standing at all. It's as old as the house - 100+ years. A former neighbor had pics where there were Model T type cars on our street.
So I’m just sitting on my couch, drinking my coffee, when a bird smacks into the window next to my head... from the inside. Much to the disappointment of my cats I opened the window and let it fly out.
That drawing desk right there has been in storage since my husband and I moved into our current rental - in June 2015. I haven’t cleaned or organized my work room since our wedding - in June 2016. I had so much residual stress from planning our nuptials (making all of our decorations, invitations, paper goods, and designing/sewing my own historical gown) that after it was all over, I just threw everything into a few cardboard boxes and never properly dealt with it. With that kind of “work space,” there was no room to think, to grow, or to work.
Still have quite a bit of sorting to do, but I plan to tackle it in small increments, so I don’t get over-emotional about dealing with that aftermath of such a hugely personal project. Small steps, but I’ve actually made progress on something I’ve been burying for half a year (the wedding clean-up) and now, I’ve hauled up something I’ve been burying far longer than that (my artistic block)
