@gretavanlace I found it. It’s not much, just a black screen and their voices.. but it’s something… 👀

"You’re always frustrated by your own work. When you first see a film cut together, all you see are the flaws in your work, and that’s what’s interesting to me. You never get it right. In theatre, you can at least try again the following evening. But on film, there is always that moment when you drive home at the end of the day after filming a scene, and then you have a good idea, and the scene’s already gone. And then you spend the next five months waiting to see that scene and thinking, ‘if only I had done that!’ It’s wonderfully frustrating.”

I recently came across an old Nicola interview from 2020. It’s probably not new for many Nicola fans, but it was new to me. It was just a basic Q&A—she’s probably done tons of those—but I still found it interesting. It gave a nice insight into her personality, and it’s cool to see that a lot of things about her haven’t changed.
The whole interview:
* yes, it is bad quality and, screenshots made it even worse, but bear with me
Some bits that I liked:
Basically, it’s about staying true to yourself—and you can really see that in her: in her activism despite everything, in the work she chooses, and in how she doesn’t give in to the haters.
Honestly great advice, need more of this attitude in my life.
A little bit about Nicola’s attitude toward work—and why I believe she won’t chase quick success, but will choose projects she genuinely enjoys, with good people, and ones she can be proud of.
The last bit is criminal, tbh:
Like, she’s been to Australia at least three times—and the last time she was there for almost a whole month—and still no photo with a koala or even near one? She is not being serious about her love for koalas, I’m afraid
