The former Nicholson Museum (1860), the University of Sydney. A Gothic Revival riot of an entrance to the halls that once housed the largest collection of antiquities in the southern hemisphere, all 'acquired' by Sir Charles Nicholson in the 1850's in Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, and Italy. Museum closed in February 2020, and the collection of more than 3,000 ancient artifacts moved and merged with natural history and art collections in the University to form a new purpose built museum. Heritage Listed. Camperdown.

Altes Museum, Berlin, 2020
Altes Museum / Old Museum, Berlin
This was the last museum we visited. There was a mix of Roman, Greek and Etruscan items and a room full of gold jewellery, which I thoroughly enjoyed photographing. Sadly, there is only so much space in one post and I limited myself to general impressions and my very favourites, especially the creepy bust of Caesar.
