The former Nicholson Museum (1860), the University of Sydney. A Gothic Revival riot of an entrance to the halls that once housed the largest collection of antiquities in the southern hemisphere, all 'acquired' by Sir Charles Nicholson in the 1850's in Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, and Italy. Museum closed in February 2020, and the collection of more than 3,000 ancient artifacts moved and merged with natural history and art collections in the University to form a new purpose built museum. Heritage Listed. Camperdown.
