Today's Flickr photo with the most hits shows in the interior of the Old New Synagogue, Prague.
It is actually a web-pic, rather than one I took (photography not permitted when I visited).
Note the double nave and the five-ribbed vaulting (books of the Torah).
To the left is the entrance to women's section. The basket of railings shows the location of the bimah.
Completed in 1270, the building was designed by Christian architects and shows many standard Gothic traits.
The Old New Synagogue in Prague's Jewish Quarter is the oldest preserved synagogue in Europe.

Investigating the oldest synagogues in Europe
The Old-New Synagogue is the oldest functioning synagogue in Europe. There are two older synagogues in Europe – one in Erfurt in Germany, founded around 1100 and another in Toledo, Spain from 1180.
