My achilles is getting better - not well enough to run on, but I'm not limping anymore. I've found a whole lot of info on strengthening the achilles, and the foot in general, so I hope that putting it into practice will mean that this doesn't happen again down the track. It will slow down my progress on the c210k program, but pay off in the long run. After all, finishing the 10k program is only a step along the way to completing the marathon in October. So, I will take it slow for the next month or so, build up strength in my feet and ankles, then trust that the aerobic endurance will come with the extra level of training I will be capable of as a result. In the meantime, I can find cardio exercises that don't involve my legs, and focus on the strength training, which is probably a good thing. The strength training is my least favourite part of this project, so focusing on it for a while will hopefully give me an appreciation for it. As usual, my diet is going well - I really find that part to be easy these days. Hannah's program has been really effective, and I find it relatively easy to hit the macros these days, and am always under my calorie limit.
