Thanksgiving, Birthday Weekend, & Planning Joshua Tree National Park
Yesterday was my 34th birthday. I went for a run on lunch, 3.4 miles for 34 years. I think 34 is a good year to get back into running. I then met up with my twin sister who obviously shares my birthday with me. It was so nice because we rarely see each other for our birthdays in adulthood. She truly has been such a rock in my life.
Saturday I got brunch with my two girlfriends and their kiddos! My friend Inga went to Italy in the summer and brought me back a very cute handmade trinket. We hadn’t seen each other since, so it was a lovely birthday present. These girls feel like home. I’m so grateful for the people I have in my life.
For Thanksgiving my two nephews were staying over my parents house during their week off from school. We hung out, played scrabble, and did puzzles. They are so much fun. My oldest nephew, Luke, is so emotionally intelligent and kind that it blows my mind. Luckiest aunt.
For my birthday yesterday, which happened to also be Travel Tuesday (is this a a real thing? I did score a deal on my flights…), my friend Laura and I booked flights to Palm Springs to visit Joshua Tree National Park! We are leaving at the end of January. I love going to the desert in the winter to escape the cold. This will be my 3rd National Park this year.
34 is off to a great start.
