There’s a story

There’s a story that I’ve been playing with for a long time now and I can’t get it out of my head. The truth is I’ve already typed it out, but I’m not happy about it. I love these characters. I love who they are and their journey together. But to retell the story I kind of feel like it’s cheating. Are we allowed to retell our own story? We’re not. We can go only make it better as we move foward. 

My story that I have, I’ve decided I’m going to post it here as is, no editing (except grammar and spelling). But it’s staying as is. I can’t take away something my younger self worked so hard on. I can’t discredit her like that. This was a real story in her head and even though it’s young and juvenile it was very real to her and I refuse to sofocate her innocence. 

So, here’s my older self not apologizing for my younger self but applauding her for taking the leap and finishing a fucking book. And now I thank her for being brave enough to write thoughts to paper and helping the person I am now be better.
