something that maybe is very obvious lmao but that i go 👀 at in the new arcane opening credits is jayvik, their last frames especially. viktor seems to be radiating light from himself, the light comes from his face. jayce's final shot, on the other hand, is him being blinded by light and hiding from it and the shots are just after the other and i'm like. interesting.

i'm sorry but ryan atwood is so. like. when you meet him he's dark and quiet and broody and doesn't talk much and you think "oh okay this is the typical emo bad boy just blonde this time". but then. then. he gets to discover love and a healthy environment he can thrive in and you, as the audience, get to truly know who he is and. god. he's still quiet and broody but also. he's profoundly good and kind. loyal, protective and self sacrificial to a fault. and he's sarcastic and teasing. so smart and hard working. and he's so so, oh so very soft. and he's awkward. so painfully — but charmingly — socially awkward. and he stammers when he asks the girl he likes on a date for his brother. what a beautiful take on this overused archetype. what a wonderfully written character.

having mike at his grandma's funeral talk about how the night his parents died, she took him in his bed and they spent the entire night laughing and laughing, and when he woke up the next morning she was the whole of his family, and continuing the episode by having harvey show up at mike's place and the both of them spending the night laughing and laughing because harvey is the whole of his family now is. BRILLIANT writing but i don't think i'm gonna recover, like, ever. they mean the entire world to me

lawrusso in 6x07 are so fucking funny they've been at each other's throats for weeks and johnny has explicitly told danny he was done with him after the tournament, but then danny is away for like 5 hours and johnny's frantically calling him and going "where are you i need you"

i'm rewatching the boys to get ready for season 4 and "oh hughie. it's not power. it's punishment. you don't deserve none of it" "what and you do?" no because MY GOD the way both hughie and butcher think they're the fuckest fuck ups ever and hold each other in the HIGHEST REGARD????? like butcher thinks there's nothing redeemable about himself, that he ruins everyone's life, that he deserves to die for all the shit he did and while yes he makes fun of hughie for being weak or whatever he admires hughie's moral compass SO MUCH and he'd be lost without it AND the way hughie thinks he's useless, that he can't protect anyone he loves, that he will never manage to make anything of himself ever and yes, he has issues with butcher's way of doing things sometimes but he admires him for how strong he is and how he gets shit done LIKE!!!!!!! THEY LOVE AND ADMIRE EACH OTHER FOR THE EXACT REASONS THEY HATE THEMSELVES OH I'M GOING INSANE

buddie were supposed to go canon in s4 after the shooting, an experience where buck thought he'd lose eddie forever and had time to sit with that during eddie's surgery and coma and now buck thinks he's gonna lose eddie forever again and has time to sit with that IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER

s6 really has made me all in on keenry because of how much he loves her. like when tory walks into a room, everything disappears. boy does not care about karate, or winning, or ANYTHING in the world. nothing matters but her and by god, after a lifetime of loneliness and pain she does not deserve anything less
