okay so here i am was washing dishes after cooking and stay by rihanna ft mikky ekko comes on and I honestly feel so attacked rn? like that song was playing in that s1 ep of arrow when laurel and oliver saw each other outside verdant (remember verdant? good times) and they talked and it went something like this: laurel said "thanks for listening" and then oliver says goodnight and then as she walks away oliver is like "laurel?" and laurel turns around and then he says "do you wanna have a dinner or - coffee" and laurel is like "why" and oliver gets this look on his face and says "I don't want to be on an island anymore" and after a moment they just really *understand* each other and then laurel touches his arm ever so lightly and says "sure" and gives him this smile and like it is so beautiful to see this relationship that we expected to be so iconic from the start (and is instead fractured seemingly beyond repair) finally start to be on the mend and it breaks my heart that it isn't a thing anymore. because I literally would have settled for a friendship at this point. but yeah I miss s1 lauriver a lot. we deserve better.
